Job summary

Helix Electric Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager on projects and serve as the liaison between field and office.

The PE defines project objectives by planning, executing and finalizing projects according to the schedule while keeping within the budget. The role includes duties such as supporting senior management, developing project teams, managing schedule goals, procurement, and contract requirements, as well as maintaining profitability through effective change

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project engineer experience in heavy commercial/private electrical construction.
• Strong understanding of engineering in electric power and field coordination.
• Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take‑offs, change orders and contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and assist in winning projects.
• Exceptional initiative, execution, and communication skills (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager on projects and liaise between field and office.
• Define project objectives by planning, executing and finalizing projects on schedule and within budget.
• Provide close support to senior management and subcontractors.
• Oversee scheduling, invoicing and change orders.
• Ensure quality engineering and timely project delivery.
