Job summary

Odyssey Information Services seeks an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to support capital and maintenance projects in oil & gas, LNG, petrochemical, refining, power generation, or heavy industrial environments in Houston.

You will lead electrical projects from scope development through construction, commissioning and startup, and develop/review SLDs, load lists, specifications, schematics, and electrical studies while coordinating with EPCs, vendors, operations and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required.
• Industrial electrical project engineering experience preferred.
• Strong HV/MV power systems and protection experience expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical projects from scope through construction, commissioning and startup.
• Develop/review SLDs, load lists, specifications, schematics and electrical studies.
• Manage MOC activities and coordinate EPCs, vendors, operations and contractors.
• Support transformers, switchgear, MCCs, large motors, VFDs and protective relaying.
• Perform/review load flow, short circuit, coordination and arc flash studies.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, ANSI and NFPA 70E.
