Job summary

W-Industries of Texas, LLC is seeking a Senior Lead Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership for electrical disciplines on capital, maintenance, and turnaround projects in petrochemical, refining, LNG, and oil & gas. You will oversee design, ensure quality and safety compliance, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams from concept through construction.

  • 12+ years of electrical engineering experience in petrochemical, refining, LNG or oil & gas.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.

  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and codes.

Description

The Senior Lead Electrical Engineer provides technical leadership for the electrical engineering discipline on capital, maintenance, and turnaround projects within the petrochemical, refining, and oil & gas industries. This role is responsible for overseeing electrical engineering design, ensuring quality and compliance, coordinating multidisciplinary project teams, mentoring junior engineers, and serving as the primary electrical engineering contact for clients. The Senior Lead Electrical Engineer supports projects from concept through construction while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, schedule, and budget performance.

Job Requirements
  • Lead and oversee the design and development of electrical systems and components.

Requirements

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Experience in ETAP
  • Strong knowledge of current codes and standards
  • Previous experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
  • Experience with brownfield and greenfield facilities
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
