Job summary

McKinstry seeks an Electrical Project Engineer II for a hybrid role based in Dallas, TX, with responsibilities across energy, data centers, and renewable resources. You’ll contribute to design, coordination, and project management, leveraging AutoCAD, Revit, and SKM analysis to deliver efficient solutions.

The position emphasizes collaboration, adherence to McKinstry standards, and clear communication, with onsite construction experience welcomed and a comprehensive benefit package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required.
• Three (3) years of experience in AutoCAD and Revit modeling preferred.
• Three (3) years of experience in engineering design or related field is preferred.
• Onsite construction experience considered and welcome.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Working knowledge of Bluebeam.
• Clear and effective communication.
• Responsible, committed and detail-oriented team-driven individual.
• Exposure to SKM Power Tools (PTW) or similar power system analysis tool is preferred.
• Engineering in Training Certificate preferred

Responsibilities

• Documents project correspondence, issues, decisions and directions.
• Learns and follows McKinstry Engineering standards and procedures.
• Contributes to tasks on multiple projects and timelines concurrently.
• Delivers assigned tasks on time and in budget.
• Provides engineering analysis to support sales and early design efforts.
• Produces design drawings and building information models for construction.
• Performs coordination with internal team members and supports coordination with external team members.
