Job summary

McKinstry is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to join its Engineering and Design team in Atlanta, GA. You will mentor engineers, lead electrical design projects, and manage resources to meet deadlines while driving innovative, high-quality solutions for DER clients.

Required: PE licensure, experience with building electrical systems, and strong analytical skills in power studies; proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Procore, and SKM/ETAP is expected. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

Professional Engineer registration is required.
Experience in design and construction of commercial and light industrial electrical systems.
Ability to perform power system studies (arc flash, short circuit, coordination, load flow).
Strong written and verbal communication, and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of electrical design projects (distribution, lighting, emergency power, medium-voltage campus systems).
Collaborate with internal and external partners to establish best practices in electrical design and delivery.
Oversee analyses supporting pre-design efforts and sales proposals, ensuring alignment with objectives.
Develop engineering fees, resource plans, and provide financial analysis for projects.
