Job summary

IMEG in Urbandale, IA is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to lead design efforts for low to moderate complexity projects and collaborate with senior staff on larger work. You will manage budgets, mentor staff, and coordinate with cross-functional teams through design, bidding, and construction administration, with a focus on energy-efficient building design.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering and a PE license, with 2+ years of experience (4+ preferred) and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering; PE license required.
• 2+ years of experience; 4+ years preferred in building design/con­sulting.
• Proficiency with design software and tools for lighting, power, and energy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for low to moderate complexity electrical projects, serving as project manager or lead engineer.
• Analyze electrical systems and develop designs, specifications, and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Partner with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical information.
• Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure QA/QC per IMEG processes.
