1 | SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

• The Project Engineer will be responsible for leading technical matters related to the development, construction, and operation of high-voltage substations, industrial electrical parks, wind turbines, and solar projects.

2 | MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Project Engineer is expected to be an expert that can drive innovation while balancing the practical.
• As a Project Engineer you will assist in training and mentoring less experienced team members.
• Position responsibilities span project development through construction and into operations.
• Interpret and communicate technical information in design plans, work plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Assist in system and equipment design, evaluation of innovative technologies, and development of detailed engineering deliverables.
• Create technical reports, design documentation, and engineering assessments to support project development, permitting, construction, and operational readiness.
• Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings and maintain project documentation systems.
• Provide technical support during planning, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases, including coordination with external engineering consultants and vendors.
• Coordinate with internal teams and third parties to ensure alignment of engineering deliverables with project requirements, timelines, and operational goals.
• Analyze data to support design optimization, technical risk identification, constructability and maintainability reviews.
• Collaborate with the project team on technical aspects of permitting, interconnection, compliance, and performance verification.
• Encourage and participate in collaborative innovation efforts across departments to drive continuous improvement and creative problem-solving.

3 | ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to the Director of Engineering; no supervisory responsibilities at this time; will contribute to the workflow and coordination of engineering tasks across the project lifecycle.

4 | SKILLS:

• Electrical Engineering degree with related work experience (high-voltage for renewables, industrial, and/or utilities); achievement of a professional engineering licensure is expected; or significant equivalent professional experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of engineering technology and tools
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment
• Must be comfortable solving problems that have never been solved
• Expert in Excel; Proficient in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint; 3D Drawing software and programming experience a plus; familiarity with SEL relay/meter software a plus.
