Job summary

PowerSecure-Inc. in Durham, NC is seeking a Project Development Engineer to be the technical resource for the DI sales team during pre-sale development of scope, costing, and applications, and to remain involved post-sale as part of the project management team.

You will balance multiple projects, develop electrical drawings, assess NEC/IEEE standards, and collaborate across sales, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure accurate proposals and proper risk management. Domestic travel limited.

Qualifications

• BS degree as listed and relevant technical background.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical consult/app development.
• Strong CAD skills and ability to create concept drawings.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, IEEE codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical liaison for pre-sale development and cost estimation.
• Develop concept drawings such as Electrical One-lines and Site layouts.
• Collaborate with sales, product engineering, and manufacturing to define scope, schedule, and risks.
• Provide post-sale system technical support as part of project management.
