J.F. Electric, Inc. seeks an experienced project manager to oversee electrical construction projects in Missouri. You will interpret plans, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with foremen and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial, heavy industrial, refinery, or telecom projects.
• Degree or apprenticeship pathway required; experience may substitute.
• Ability to adhere to schedule and show up on time.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
• Criminal background check and drug screening clearances.

Responsibilities

• Learn to interpret plan/spec documents
• Learn accurate plan/spec take-offs
• Proactively manage and track projects from bid to completion with leadership
• Interface with customers to facilitate project activities
• Monitor and control projects; provide direction to onsite foremen to drive schedule and adhere to established budget and profitability goals
• Represent the company in project meetings and attend project strategy sessions
• Become familiar with contract documents
• Become familiar with project management tools
• Complete project reports with assistance from the project foreman
• Interaction with field labor and learning labor agreements
• Comply with safety philosophy, safety training, safety manual, and OSHA guidelines
• Assist with field implementation & execution
• Ensure all assigned personnel use PPE
• Foster an environment where safety is expected; correct unsafe behavior immediately
• Learn how to monitor safety in all situations; prevent accidents and injuries
• Stop work that is unsafe
• Take corrective/disciplinary action for repetitive safety violations
• Reinforce safety rules in meetings and toolbox talks
