Job summary

Facility Solutions Group, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, coordination, and execution of electrical projects.

The role works with the senior project manager to oversee lifecycle activities, manage resources, and ensure timelines and budgets are met while maintaining clear stakeholder communication. You will collaborate with engineers, contractors, and technicians, assist in cost control, documentation, and progress reporting, and contribute to risk management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required or relevant work-experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and construction practices.
• Familiarity with project management principles, tools, and methodologies.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with project management software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and budgets with the senior project manager.
• Coordinate project activities, resources, and stakeholders to meet milestones.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and technicians to ensure objectives are understood.
• Monitor costs and expenditures against the approved budget.
• Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend optimizations.
• Maintain project documentation including plans, schedules, contracts, and change orders.
• Prepare regular progress reports and status updates for stakeholders.
• Contribute to risk assessment and mitigation plans.
• Facilitate meetings with agendas, minutes, and action items.
• Support quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Participate in inspections, testing, and commissioning to ensure deliverables meet quality.
