Job summary

Crawford Electric Supply, part of the Sonepar world network, seeks a Project Quotations Specialist in Houston, TX. You will own bids, prepare quotes, and manage pricing, terms, and delivery for standard and complex merchandise across a regional portfolio.

You will negotiate, support submittals, respond to customer and sales inquiries, and help train customers and sales staff on projects from planning to operations, ensuring prompt resolution of issues.

Qualifications

• Prefer Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) and/or two to four years' equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience as a contractor inside salesperson or manager of lighting projects and/or electrical distribution and control projects.
• PC literate with knowledge of MS Office; strong Excel skills.
• Excellent written, verbal and negotiation skills.
• Great customer service.

Responsibilities

• Self-directed ownership and bidding on project jobs.
• Manage and provide written quotations or estimates of prices, terms and delivery for standard, complex or non-standard merchandise.
• Negotiate jobs, prepare and send submittals.
• Responds to requests from customers and salespeople on matters pertaining to the application and operation of various projects throughout a region and satisfactorily address.
• Assists with the planning and presentation of training programs and other professional growth opportunities for customers and salespersons in the planning, installation, and operations of various projects.
• Complete write up and send final release of job to project management
• Resolves customer order problems and complaints promptly.
• Prepare correspondence and reports necessary for business transactions.
