Job summary

Echo Electric is seeking a Project Quotations Specialist to coordinate bidding quotations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while aligning with sales and profitability goals.

The role requires experience with substations and distribution equipment, knowledge of estimating software, and strong math and CAD-reading skills. You will work closely with Sales and Inside Sales, managing pricing and supplier communications.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience coordinating bids for substations and distribution equipment.
• Knowledge of high voltage electrical industry preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred or equivalent on-the-job experience.
• Knowledge of estimating software.
• Strong communication, math, and analytical skills.
• Ability to read CAD drawings and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate bid documents, one line diagrams, drawings to generate and submit competitive bids.
• Monitors ordering activities associated with bid projects to ensure pricing and terms accuracy.
• Communicates proactively with customers throughout the quotation/bid process.
• Formulates unique pricing strategies in collaboration with sales and management representatives.
• Stays informed about inventory, including appropriate product substitutions.
• Develops and enhances product knowledge, attending relevant training classes.
• Negotiates special pricing contracts and maintain accurate documentation.
• Fosters effective working relationships with Sales Associates, Inside Sales Associates, and support personnel.
• Exchanges customers’ needs information timely.
