Job summary

VarcoMac LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to support procurement of materials, equipment, and tools for electrical service and construction projects. The role reports to the Purchasing Manager and collaborates with project teams, vendors, Accounts Payable, and site personnel in the Washington DC and Baltimore markets.

Onsite in Prince Frederick, with potential for hybrid work. Requirements include 5+ years in procurement, 2+ years estimating in electrical construction, ERP

Qualifications

Knowledge of procurement best practices and vendor management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Procurement & Order Management: receive and process material requests; source requisitions; evaluate quotes; negotiate pricing; create and process purchase orders; coordinate deliveries; expedite critical orders.
Vendor, Documentation & Operational Support: maintain procurement records; build vendor relationships; assist Accounts Payable with invoice issues; support shipping and receiving; perform other duties to support purchasing operations.
