Job summary

ArchKey Solutions is hiring an Electrical Prefabrication Designer to advance prefabrication operations. You will develop detailed, code-compliant design solutions translating project intent into efficient prefabrication deliverables for walls, conduits, and rooms.

You’ll collaborate with project teams, VDC, and prefabrication shops to improve field efficiency, standardization, and quality while meeting NEC requirements and company standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Technology, Electrical Design, or related field.
• Journeyman Inside Wireman certification or equivalent electrical field experience.
• 5+ years in electrical prefabrication, detailing, or design roles.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or other design/BIM software.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed prefabrication build sheets, layouts, riser diagrams, and assemblies.
• Review construction drawings for NEC compliance and constructability.
• Create and annotate prefabrication docs using Bluebeam and Excel; AutoCAD/Revit helpful.
• Prepare material take-offs and support procurement coordination.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Prefabrication Shop teams.
• Attend coordination meetings to support design intent and field efficiency.
• Ensure all designs meet NEC requirements and company standards.
