Job summary

ArchKey Solutions is seeking an Electrical Prefabrication Designer to advance our prefabrication operations. You will develop detailed, code-compliant design solutions translating project intent into efficient deliverables for wall rough, lighting controls, and electrical rooms.

You will collaborate with project teams, VDC and shop teams to ensure accuracy, standardization, and on-time production while maintaining documentation, version control, and NEC compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Technology, Electrical Design.
• Journeyman Inside Wireman certification or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in electrical prefabrication, detailing, or design roles.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar BIM software.
• Experience supporting prefabrication shops and VDC coordination.
• Strong NEC knowledge and field install understanding.
• Proficient in Bluebeam and Excel; good communication.
• Read and interpret construction drawings accurately.

Responsibilities

• Develops detailed prefabrication build sheets and layout drawings.
• Reviews drawings for NEC compliance and constructability.
• Prepares material take-offs and supports procurement.
• Coordinates with PMs, Superintendents, and shop teams.
• Attends prefabrication and planning meetings.
• Mentors field and design personnel on standards.
• Ensures designs meet company standards and field needs.
