Job summary

Freedom is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager (Electrical) to lead a skilled team from design through construction on large, multidisciplinary projects in the UK. The role focuses on early design validation, constructability reviews, and seamless handover to construction teams.

The ideal candidate brings extensive preconstruction and construction management experience, strong leadership, and practical knowledge of OH&S and SHEQ.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in preconstruction and construction management.
• Ability to lead and manage teams of construction managers and site engineers.
• Strong knowledge of construction management, OH&S, and SHEQ.
• HND in Engineering or Construction (or equivalent qualification).
• Health & Safety qualification such as SMSTS, IOSH, or NEBOSH.

Responsibilities

• Lead constructability reviews and ensure designs are construction-ready.
• Provide input into project schedule and quality plans during post-contract award.
• Support transition from design to construction and provide site guidance.
• Conduct lessons learned reviews to improve future projects.
