Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager - Electrical to serve as the electrical SME across our regional teams. You will lead early budgets, validate scope and pricing, and guide procurement decisions on complex projects.

You will develop conceptual budgets, advise on vendor qualifications, foster strong trade relationships, and train the preconstruction team on electrical estimating best practices. Travel to project sites and regional offices may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical estimating, subcontracting, or electrical preconstruction.
• Deep knowledge of electrical systems, installation methods, and production rates across electrical scopes.
• Strong vendor communication and established relationships with electrical trade partners.
• Experience developing conceptual/schematic-level budgets for large or complex projects.
• Proficiency with estimating and preconstruction software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the preconstruction department's electrical SME across regions.
• Develop conceptual and schematic-level electrical budgets to support early pursuit, feasibility studies, and owner/design conversations.
• Validate electrical scope, pricing assumptions, and risk areas on large projects.
• Implement and refine procurement strategies, including trade packaging, early release packages, design-assist, RFP development, and bid leveling.
• Advise on electrical market conditions, production rates, vendor capabilities, and buyout strategy.
• Maintain relationships with electrical trade partners and vendors to support procurement decisions.
• Develop, teach, and deliver internal training on electrical systems, budgeting, and estimating best practices.
• Capture and maintain historical electrical cost data, production rates, and benchmarking metrics.
• Participate in project reviews and risk assessment meetings as an electrical advisor.
• Stay current on electrical costs, codes, technologies, and market trends.
• Travel may be necessary.
