Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a hands-on Preconstruction Manager - Electrical to bridge design and construction on major industrial projects across the United States, with up to 50% travel. The role focuses on constructability, sequencing, and developing detailed electrical bid packages for on-site execution.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in electrical engineering or 15+ years in industrial construction management, a BS in engineering, strong communication, and proficiency in Revit, ACC, Bluebeam, and MS

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years experience in Electrical engineering or 15 years experience in construction management for industrial construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience, including certified technical training
• General understanding of construction-oriented means, methods, codes and standards
• Experience interpreting electrical engineering design drawings and specifications for construction purposes
• Effective oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership resolving design and constructability concerns related to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Identify opportunities for schedule and cost savings based on existing design or modularization capabilities.
• Identify trade partners for early contractor engagement through design phase.
• Organize cross-discipline evaluation of electrical scope in regards to construction sequencing.
• Identify risks for long lead construction activities and align with the schedule for delivery.
• Develop and review construction bid packages for contractor award.
• Coordinate across stakeholders for full construction work breakdown structure development.
• Assist with reviews of Vendor Data Requirement submittals for constructability impacts.
