Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a seasoned preconstruction leader to manage from award through construction, interfacing with clients, guiding design teams, and steering BIM execution. This role drives budget control, win-strategy development, and unified workflow implementation across the project team.

You will mentor the project team, develop repeat client relationships, and present bids to executives, ensuring projects stay on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to plan projects and manage design strategies within budgets.
• Lead preconstruction activities on a major project.
• Perform value engineering analyses.
• Deep understanding of engineering systems; higher than PE/PM level.
• Strong communication with all management levels.
• Experience with CAD drawings, blueprints, submittals.

Responsibilities

• Develop new customer base through client interaction.
• Assist in creating proposals and win strategies.
• Serve as main POC during preconstruction.
• Lead design management and BIM execution.
• Develop engineering plans with the Engineering Lead.
• Implement and manage Unified Workflow.
• Mentor project team and develop future leads.
• Present bids to Project Executives and Managers.
• Budget analysis, cost and revenue projections during preconstruction.
