Electrical Powertrain System Controls Test Engineer

At LHP we ensure Functional Safety and Cyber Security development of these systems and technologies by leveraging our core expertise with widely accepted standards such as AUTOSAR, ISO26262, ASPICE, ISO/SAE 21434.

We have an opportunity for a controls test engineer based in Ohio (onsite), who will:

• Develop and test powertrain control units
• Write hardware and software specifications
• Perform confirmation tests on vehicles and on the simulator, troubleshooting and correcting related problems
• Analyze software functional data and generate reports
• Work with component suppliers and other departments to resolve technical issues
• Research new technologies and market trends and propose future products

This position requires:

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or similar
• 5 years of experience with powertrain ECU validation (transmission, shifter, or FI-ECU experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of electrical hardware and software development
• Experience in the use of electronic measuring equipment
• Electrical troubleshooting experience
• Proficient in the use of Vector tools (CANalyzer, CANape) and ETAS INCA
• Travel may be required
• Requires a valid driver’s license
