Maximus System Test Engineer Job Description

Maximus is seeking an experienced System Test Engineer to join our team! The System Test Engineer provides subject matter expertise for the work described in the task. Responsibilities include supporting process improvement, conducting specialized studies, and defining requirements. Typical duties encompass analysis, planning, developing test documents, creating procedures, and performing manual and automated software testing, including but not limited to unit, integration, functional, and end-to-end testing. The role may also involve other technical and test-related duties as required, requiring expertise in the specialty area.

Note: This position is contingent upon award. It is remote but may require occasional travel to the San Antonio, TX, or Baltimore, MD areas as requested by the client.

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in the relevant functional area; a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. A Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• 5 years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages, with proficiency in tools related to DevSecOps, microservices, and containers.
• TS/SCI clearance required.
• Recent experience in preparing, conducting, and documenting system tests to verify operability and compliance with standards and requirements.
• At least 3 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira).
• At least 3 years of experience testing web-based applications.
• At least 3 years of experience using Agile Test-Driven Development.
• Practical experience testing and analyzing Restful interfaces and commands.
• Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.

Desired Qualifications

• SAFe SA certification.
• Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments.
