Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Los Angeles is seeking an Intern for their Electrical department. The role involves assisting engineers in the design and development of infrastructure projects, with responsibilities including research, design tasks, and preparing engineering documentation. Ideal candidates will be pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering and possess strong writing and communication skills. The position does not offer relocation or housing assistance and is full-time.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program.
  • Interest in electric vehicles and charging technologies.
  • Previous involvement in student organizations such as ITES, IEEE.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineering teams with research and design tasks.
  • Prepare engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Perform duties as assigned by engineers.

Skills

Strong writing and communication skills
Interest and basic understanding in electrical
Ability to perform basic engineering calculations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Education

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program
Pursuing a degree in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering
Completion of 2 years of post-secondary education
