Job summary

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with two to three years of study.
• 0-1 year of electrical engineering and design internship or work experience is preferred; US Power utility is a plus.
• Basic understanding of distribution power design and design software tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform load calculations, generator sizing, voltage drop and fault current calculations.
• Model electrical, lighting, and solar photovoltaic systems.
• Prepare electrical design documents: single-line diagrams, AC/DC drawings, motor control schematics and floor plans.
• Assist with cost estimates and review construction submittals.
• Coordinate with senior staff to meet project deadlines and travel to client sites as needed.
