Job summary

Saber Power Services, based in Houston, TX, seeks an Engineer II to develop electrical power system designs focused on substations, transmission, and distribution. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team to produce drawings, specs, and studies from concept through construction.

Responsibilities include design under guidance, coordinating with teams, reviewing BOMs, and ensuring codes and standards are met. Requires FE exam and 2–6 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 2–6 years of relevant experience in power systems, substation design, or utility engineering.
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam passed is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs under supervision from Senior Engineer.
• Provide technical direction to designers and drafters for quality deliverables.
• Prepare BOMs, equipment specs, calculations and design packages.
• Specify major electrical equipment such as transformers, breakers, switchgear, relays.
