Job summary

Saber Power Services, a portfolio company of Greenbelt Capital Partners, seeks a Designer III - Electrical in Houston, TX. The role focuses on developing detailed electrical design packages for substations, transmission and renewable energy projects, coordinating with engineers and project teams to deliver high-quality construction drawings.

Responsibilities include producing diagrams and layouts, ensuring codes and standards compliance, reviewing client markups, and mentoring junior designers

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years electrical design experience in utilities/industrial/renewables.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation and AutoCAD Electrical.
• 3D modeling experience (Inventor/Revit/Bentley OpenUtilities) a plus.
• Knowledge of NEC/NESC/IEEE and utility standards.
• Ability to interpret diagrams and vendor drawings.
• Experience mentoring junior designers and coordinating with teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical design drawings and construction packages for substations and related projects.
• Produce single-line/three-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics and layouts.
• Coordinate designs with engineers, PMs and other disciplines.
• Revise drawings per client comments and field feedback.
• Ensure drawings comply with codes and client drafting requirements.
• Mentor junior designers and support project schedules.
