Job summary

MPR Associates, Inc. is seeking Electrical Systems Engineers for full-time roles across its offices in Virginia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Utah, with opportunities to engage in power systems design for utility, commercial, and federal projects.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years in electrical power systems, and experience with standards such as IEEE and NERC. You will develop designs, perform analyses, specify equipment, and support testing and commissioning

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years in electrical power systems.
  • Experience with industry standards (IEEE/NERC).
  • Proficient in design, analysis, and testing of power systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical designs for power systems.
  • Create drawings, diagrams, specifications, and layouts.
  • Validate designs against NFPA 70, IEEE, NERC, ISO and local regs.
  • Perform load flow, short circuit, protective device coordination, and stability studies.
  • Investigate problems and evaluate alternatives for reliability and performance.
  • Develop procurement specifications and support commissioning.
  • Mentor junior engineers and communicate with clients.
