Job summary

MPR Associates, Inc. is seeking Electrical Systems Engineers for full-time roles across its offices in Virginia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Utah, with opportunities to engage in power systems design for utility, commercial, and federal projects.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years in electrical power systems, and experience with standards such as IEEE and NERC. You will develop designs, perform analyses, specify equipment, and support testing and commissioning

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Master's degree preferred.
At least 3 years in electrical power systems.
Experience with industry standards (IEEE/NERC).
Proficient in design, analysis, and testing of power systems.

Responsibilities

Develop electrical designs for power systems.
Create drawings, diagrams, specifications, and layouts.
Validate designs against NFPA 70, IEEE, NERC, ISO and local regs.
Perform load flow, short circuit, protective device coordination, and stability studies.
Investigate problems and evaluate alternatives for reliability and performance.
Develop procurement specifications and support commissioning.
Mentor junior engineers and communicate with clients.
