Job description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (PE) to support the design, engineering review, technical coordination, and delivery of modular data center and AI infrastructure projects across North America.

The role requires an active U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) license and the ability to take professional responsibility for electrical engineering work associated with projects in the applicable jurisdictions.

Candidates who already hold PE licenses in Ohio, California, and/or Texas are strongly preferred. Candidates holding an active PE license in another U.S. state will also be considered, provided they are willing and eligible to obtain PE licensure in Ohio, California, and Texas through comity, endorsement, or other applicable state licensing pathways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and review electrical system design for data center and modular infrastructure projects, including MV/LV power distribution, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, standby power, grounding, and associated electrical systems.
  • Prepare, review, and validate electrical engineering deliverables including single-line diagrams, load calculations, short-circuit studies, protective device coordination, arc-flash studies, cable sizing, and equipment selection.
  • Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable U.S. codes, standards, project requirements, and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements.
  • Review electrical designs, specifications, shop drawings, submittals, and technical documentation prepared by engineering consultants, EPC contractors, vendors, and internal engineering teams.
  • Support the development and standardization of modular data center electrical architectures, improving repeatability, constructability, and scalability across different projects and jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate electrical interfaces with architectural, structural, HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, controls, BIM, manufacturing, and project delivery teams.
  • Provide engineering support during factory prefabrication, FAT, site installation, SAT, commissioning, troubleshooting, and final project handover.
  • Assume professional engineering responsibility for applicable project deliverables and, where authorized and required, review, approve, sign, and seal electrical engineering documents.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Active U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering.
  • PE licensure in Ohio, California, and/or Texas is strongly preferred; candidates licensed in multiple states will receive priority consideration.
  • Candidates currently licensed in another U.S. state must be willing and eligible to obtain PE licensure in Ohio, California, and Texas through comity or endorsement, as applicable.
  • Significant experience in electrical engineering for buildings, power systems, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale industrial infrastructure; data center or AI infrastructure experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable U.S. electrical codes, engineering standards, and AHJ coordination processes.
  • Solid technical experience with MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, transformers, switchgear, standby power systems, protective coordination, short-circuit analysis, and arc-flash studies.
  • Strong engineering judgment, design-review capability, problem-solving skills, and ability to collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, and project delivery teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active PE licenses in Ohio, California, and Texas;
  • Hyperscale data center or mission-critical facility experience;
  • Modular or prefabricated data center / electrical infrastructure experience;
  • Experience with EPC firms, engineering consultancies, data center developers, or major cloud infrastructure projects;
  • Hands-on commissioning and project delivery experience;
