Job summary

Optimized Process Designs (OPD), a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks an Electrical Power Engineer to lead high-voltage and medium-voltage design on EPC projects in Katy, TX. You will own the project scope from concept through energization and work with seasoned engineers, designers, and construction teams to deliver energized facilities.

You will mentor engineers, apply robust engineering judgment, and ensure safety, reliability, and constructability across disciplines, with a Friday

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Substation engineering experience with a utility, EPC, or engineering consulting firm.
• PE license or EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical engineering scope on EPC projects from conceptual design through detailed engineering, construction, testing, energization, and startup.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and designers while expanding your own capabilities.
• Collaborate with clients, utilities, vendors, project managers, construction, commissioning teams, and other disciplines.
• Lead ongoing improvement of standards, specifications, tools, and work processes.
• Travel to project sites as needed, up to 15%.
