The successful candidate will possess strong electrical engineering skills, will assist in code interpretation, and perform field evaluations of structures. The position is eligible for telework with a Monday through Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Must obtain Virginia Plans Electrical Examiner Certification within 12 months of employment.
• Possession of a Virginia Plans Electrical Examiner Certification or Registered Design Professional license.
• Experience working with construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Designing and approving construction documents for compliance.
• Conducting field visits to evaluate buildings and systems.
• Providing code consultation services to various stakeholders.
• Evaluating electrical systems and components.
