Job summary

AES is hiring an Electrical Planning Engineer in Indiana to develop long-term maintenance and capital investment plans for thermal and renewable generation sites across the U.S. You will prepare budgets, material specifications, and bid reviews, while guiding procurement and contracting activities.

The role requires strong technical and communication skills and teamwork across multiple sites. Responsibilities include inspections during outages, economic evaluations, and ensuring safety

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Thermal and Renewable Electric Utility and Power Generation.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with project budgeting and bid reviews.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on electrical generation equipment during outages.
• Create scope, cost estimates, and budgets for maintenance and upgrades.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and procurement forms.
• Ensure safety and coordinate with internal teams and contractors.
• Control costs and provide bid specifications to Supply Chain.
