Job summary

Hecla Mining Company is seeking an Electrical Planner for our Mullan, ID site. This role plans, schedules, and coordinates electrical and process controls activities to ensure safe, efficient operations.

You will work closely with maintenance, operations, and reliability teams to optimize uptime and cost, while maintaining CMMS records and generating KPI reports. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in electrical planning, 5+ years electrical experience, and familiarity with CMMS (IFS) in a mining

Qualifications

• Post high-school degree or Journeyman Certification; equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior experience setting up, using, and maintaining computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Experience with IFS CMMS preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in planning electrical activities.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical.
• Experience in a mining environment preferred.
• Understanding of electrical and process controls practices within a mining environment.
• Must be computer literate and proficient in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and long-term electrical and process controls schedules to optimize labor, materials, and equipment availability.
• Plan and coordinate shutdown and outage activities to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Identify required manpower, skills, materials, and timelines for all planned work.
• Coordinate and oversee contractor and temporary labor activities as required.
• Administer CMMS (IFS), including work orders, master data, and reporting.
• Create, manage, and maintain all electrical and process controls work orders with documentation.
• Develop maintenance reports and KPIs for the electrical department.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs and improve maintenance strategies.
• Interact with reliability, warehouse, and operations to ensure safe, effective maintenance.
