Job summary

Commercial Metals in Martinsburg, WV is seeking a maintenance technician to plan, schedule, and coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance with maintenance staff, contractors, and external vendors.

You will order parts, ensure tools and equipment are available for the task, read blueprints, and use CMMS (SAP) to keep systems running. A high school diploma or GED is required; mechanical or electrical background and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and/or electrical background required.
• Ability to estimate labor hours and materials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to read blueprints and use CMMS (SAP a plus).

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, and coordinates maintenance activities with maintenance staff, contractors and external vendors.
• Orders parts for planned jobs and equipment.
• Ensures tools and equipment are available for the assigned task.
