Job summary

Commercial Metals Company seeks a maintenance technician to support fabrication and production at our Martinsburg facility. You will assist maintenance personnel, follow safety programs, communicate production issues, and help keep equipment inspected and running smoothly.

You should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, multitask in a fast-paced setting, and work a rotating shift including weekends. High school diploma or GED preferred; training provided.

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to follow safety programs and procedures
• Willingness to learn and perform multiple tasks
• Basic computer skills helpful but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance personnel when requested or needed
• Participate in safety programs and uphold safety culture
• Communicate production issues and needs with team
• Ensure equipment inspection reports are filled out each shift
• Perform daily housekeeping and keep work area clean
• Be alert to unsafe conditions and report immediately
• Carry out tasks from operations management safely and timely
• Troubleshoot work-related problems using job knowledge and team input
• Follow PPE rules and safety regulations
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place in shipping/holding area
