Job summary

Micron Technology in New York is seeking an Electrical Operations Engineer to provide technical leadership across the lifecycle of site electrical systems, from design through commissioning and long-term operations.

You will oversee medium- and low-voltage distribution, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive reliability and safety in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role requires on-site work in Clay, NY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience across design, construction, commissioning, troubleshooting, or operations.
• Experience with power distribution systems, MCCs, VFDs, and backup or emergency power systems.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, NETA, ETAP, SKM PowerTools, Revit, or Navisworks.
• Ability to work on-site in Clay, New York and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic construction and operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution systems, grounding, backup power, motor controls, and related infrastructure.
• Review engineering deliverables including single-line diagrams, load calculations, fault studies, arc flash analyses, and protective device coordination.
• Support construction activities through design reviews, submittal evaluation, field coordination, inspections, and issue resolution.
• Lead commissioning, startup, testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for electrical system performance and reliability.
• Partner with internal stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and operations teams to support safe and efficient system operation.
