Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Clay, New York, invites you to join our New York Operations Engineering team as a Staff Electrical Operations Engineer.

You will provide technical leadership across the lifecycle of site electrical systems, from design through commissioning and long‑term operations. You will help ensure safety, reliability, and high performance in a fast‑paced, high‑tech manufacturing setting, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, contractors, and operations partners to deliver

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
10+ years of electrical engineering experience including design review, construction support, commissioning, troubleshooting, or operations support.
Experience with power distribution systems, MCCs, VFDs, and backup/emergency power systems.
Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, NETA; familiar with ETAP, SKM PowerTools, Revit, Navisworks.
Ability to work on-site in Clay, NY and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Provide technical oversight for electrical distribution systems and related infrastructure.
Review engineering deliverables (single-line diagrams, load calculations, fault studies, arc flash analyses).
Support construction through design reviews, field coordination, and inspections.
Lead commissioning, startup, testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and operations teams for safe, efficient operation.
