Job summary

General Motors in Orion, Michigan, is seeking aQuality Engineer for Electrical Modules to serve as the single point of contact for module and software concerns impacting the assembly plant. This role collaborates with suppliers and engineering to resolve issues and safeguard plant operations.

You will work with the plant Electrical Team to manage SPPS, PRTS, and PTRS processes, ensuring accurate problem containment and data-driven improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years experience with automotive electrical subsystems.
• Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated with high analytical ability.
• Ability to translate executive summaries to non-technical people.
• Thorough knowledge of GMS and BIQ4 deliverables.
• Knowledge of GEPICs/SPR and correlation to software releases to the plant.

Responsibilities

• Single point of contact for module reflash.
• Write SPPS/PRTS for software/module issues.
• Ensure TWO/EWO breakpoints are executed correctly with CIC Coordinator.
• Manage module scrap tracking and defect containment with supplier team.
• Support Electrical BoO elements and DRR/BIQ4 metrics.
• Provide test files and logs when needed.
• Enhance warranty performance and plant throughput via problem solving.
