We’re hiring an Electrical/Mechanical Technician to join our Reactor & BOP Inspection Tooling team. This is a full-time (5 days per week) on-site position at our Madison, PA (Waltz Mill) facility.

Your Day to Day:

1. Provide field services at nuclear power plant sites, either operating or under construction, and support service center operations, utilizing high-tech service equipment, reflecting Westinghouse’s commitment to safety and quality.
2. Support service center functions including equipment maintenance, checkout, decontamination, packing/unpacking, shipment prep, material handling, and calibration. Review operational and maintenance procedures and drawings.
3. Understand blueprints, layouts, sketches, and work orders to assess equipment specifications and determine tooling instructions, tools, materials, and sequences of operations.
4. Support product engineering and training through activities like equipment modifications, setup, testing, mock-up prep, process testing, and qualifications. Document equipment performance issues and ensure corrective actions are completed.
5. Participate in training programs to maintain certifications and stay updated with technology.
6. Engage in safety training to perform work safely in hazardous environments, operating safety equipment and systems.
7. Learn and practice Human Performance Tools, INPO Principles, Industrial Health & Safety, ALARA principles, security requirements, and observe license requirements. Contribute observations in the shop and understand Nuclear Culture Safety requirements.
8. Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot field service equipment at customer sites, including cleaning processes, NDE technology, robotic systems, and networks.
9. Perform tasks under supervision, ensuring quality and adherence to procedures. Maintain attention to detail and document quality issues.
10. Develop team-building skills, demonstrate customer service sensitivity, and focus on creative problem-solving.
11. This role involves extensive travel, maintaining “Unescorted Access” status, and working with hazardous materials.

Who You Are:

1. Associate’s degree or equivalent required.
2. 0-3 years of related experience, with demonstrated mechanical, networking, or electronic aptitude preferred.
3. Ability to travel extensively during spring and fall for extended periods.
