**Aircraft Maintenance Technician I**
Definition: This is the entry-level position for certificated Airframe and Powerplant technicians. Incumbents work under the guidance of a Lead Technician to inspect and repair aircraft, engines, and components, and return aircraft to service.
Minimum Qualifications: Possession of FAA Airframe & Powerplant Technician Certificates and a valid Class-C Driver’s License.
Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of FAA regulations related to aircraft maintenance, FAA-approved maintenance practices, and aircraft shop procedures. Ability to perform maintenance and repairs on aircraft, engines, propellers, rotors, and components as per approved procedures. Ability to determine airworthiness, inspect systems, and perform confined space entry maintenance, including fuel tank repairs.
