Job summary

Utz Quality Foods, a trusted name in snacks, is hiring experienced Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technicians for our Hanover, PA facility. You’ll support automated conveyor systems and high-speed packaging equipment, focusing on troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance (electrical and mechanical).
Experience with automated conveyor systems or warehouse distribution technology.
Skilled in diagnosing issues with sensors, relays, VFDs, and control panels.
Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs and working at heights up to 30 feet.
Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail.
Experience in food manufacturing or packaging is a plus.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems and automated material handling equipment.
Work with PLC systems, motor controls, DC/AC drives, and sensor-based automation.
Install, wire, and maintain electrical components like relays, motors, and panels.
Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep systems running.
Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams with accuracy.
Install conduit, EMT, and sealtite to support system upgrades and expansions.
