Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Hanover, PA, is seeking experienced Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technicians to support automated conveyor systems and high-speed packaging equipment. The role requires a Monday-Thursday shift, 5:50 AM–5:50 PM, with a sign-on and retention bonus offered.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing conveyor systems, working with PLCs, motors, drives, and sensors, and performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Food manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance (electrical and mechanical).
• Experience with automated conveyor systems or warehouse distribution technology.
• Skilled in diagnosing issues with sensors, relays, VFDs, and control panels.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing advanced conveyor belt systems and automated material handling equipment.
• Working with PLC systems, motor controls, DC/AC drives, and sensor-based automation.
• Installing, wiring, and maintaining electrical components like relays, motors, and panels.
• Performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep things running smoothly.
• Reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams with accuracy.
• Installing conduit, EMT, and sealtite independently to support system upgrades and expansions.
