Job summary

VAM USA in Houston, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems, and ensure compliance with relevant codes. The role involves coordinating with engineers, managing documentation, and maintaining LOTO and safety procedures.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in maintenance and is proficient with Smartsheet/Excel, able to read blueprints, and capable of working with high‑pressure components in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Experience performing electrical and mechanical maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Proficiency with Smartsheet and Excel for maintenance planning and tracking.
• Minimum of 3 years in maintenance and machine tool repair.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance for equipment and update the maintenance program.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment; coordinate with engineers and lab supervisors.
• Test equipment after repair to ensure acceptability.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repair to applicable codes and requirements.
• Install piping, hoses, and tubing for air, hydraulic and water systems.
• Service and repair high‑pressure components used for testing.
