Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Hanover, PA is hiring experienced Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technicians for our Broadway Facility. This full-time role supports automated conveyor systems and high-speed packaging equipment, with a focus on troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.

Shift: Friday - Sunday 5:30 AM-5:30 PM. We’re also offering a competitive sign-on and retention bonus as part of our commitment to bringing top talent into the Utz family.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance (electrical and mechanical).
• Experience working with automated conveyor systems or warehouse distribution technology.
• Skilled in diagnosing issues with sensors, relays, VFDs, and control panels.
• Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs and working at heights up to 30 feet.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail.
• Experience in food manufacturing or packaging is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing advanced conveyor belt systems and automated material handling equipment
• Working with PLC systems, motor controls, DC/AC drives, and sensor-based automation
• Installing, wiring, and maintaining electrical components like relays, motors, and panels
• Performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep things running smoothly
• Reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams with accuracy
• Installing conduit, EMT, and sealtite independently to support system upgrades and expansions
