Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Rocky Mount, NC, is seeking a level II Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems. This first-shift role requires 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, strong electrical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and use hand and power tools.

Overtime, on-call duties, and collaboration with engineering are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Trade School or Associates Degree in maintenance or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance and a continuous operating environment.
• Experience with industrial electrical/wiring preferred.
• Experience with PLC or willingness to learn.
• Ability to read blueprints and use hand/power tools in hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Ability to diagnose problems and estimate repairs.
• Forklift experience and Hubbell forklift training.
• OSHA safety compliance required.
• Ability to work at heights up to 50 feet.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during service and in production.
• Perform routine maintenance: inspect drives, motors, belts, fluids, filters.
• Repair machines and equipment using hand and power tools.
• Service, repair, adjust, and test machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, test and adjust.
• Dismantle devices to access defective parts using hoists, cranes, and tools.
• Read manuals, work orders, diagrams and blueprints.
• Collaborate with engineering on special projects and assist mold setup when required.
• Promote safety and assist on larger tasks with maintenance team.
