Kelly Services in North Charleston, SC is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will build electrical and mechanical assemblies from detailed drawings and schematics, working on a second shift with training leading to full performance.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork in a clean ISO-compliant environment. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of assembly experience, strong reading of prints, and proficiency with handheld power tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of assembly experience.
• Ability to read assembly prints, schematics, and fabrication drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual assembly skills.
• Experience in production line assembly and handling wiring work.
• Advanced experience using handheld power tools and drills up to 65 in-lbs torque.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical and mechanical products to completion from detailed drawings.
• Interpret and work from electrical and mechanical fabrication drawings.
• Work independently while meeting production schedules.
• Participate in shop clean-up to maintain a safe workspace.
• Collaborate with Shop Leads on quality and schedules.
• Assist coworkers with other tasks as needed.
• Follow ISO 9001 Quality System requirements.
• Communicate with Quality, Environmental, and Safety teams on standards.
