Job summary

Aerotek in Tukwila, WA is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to build electrical and mechanical equipment and sub-assemblies on a production floor. You will follow detailed instructions, work with hand and power tools, and test assemblies to ensure proper operation in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule includes Monday–Friday with multiple shifts; this is a fully onsite contract role. Ideal candidates have at least five years of related experience, can read assembly drawings and tape measures, and

Qualifications

• Five or more years of electrical and mechanical assembly, installation, or repair experience.
• Ability to read moderately complex assembly drawings.
• Ability to read tape measures and measuring devices accurately.
• Ability to read and understand standard work instructions.
• Experience using hand and power tools in mechanical and electrical assembly.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assemble complex electrical and mechanical components with minimal supervision.
• Complete assembly work according to cycle times and production goals.
• Test, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble and test components to ensure proper operation.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely per instructions.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings and standard work instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow 5S practices.
• Collaborate with team to meet production targets and ensure safety.
