Job summary

Knight Electric, Inc. in Justin, TX seeks aPurchasing Agent to support procurement across electrical projects nationwide. You will order and expedit e materials, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely delivery at right costs to keep field crews fueled and projects on schedule.

Role requires strong negotiation, attention to detail, and solid knowledge of electrical materials and supply chains. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Justin, TX with competitive hourly pay and full

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license.
• 3+ years of purchasing, material ordering or procurement experience in electrical/industrial sectors.
• Knowledge of electrical materials, equipment and supplies.
• Proficiency with ERP software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Source and place purchase orders for electrical materials and supplies to meet project schedules and budgets.
• Obtain and analyze competitive quotes for requisitions.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and coordinate deliveries.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers.
• Maintain vendor relationships and monitor pricing trends for cost savings.
• Manage field receiving and inventory, maintaining stock levels.
• Coordinate with site management and yard personnel for receiving and storage.
• Track order status and expedite shipments to avoid delays.
• Reconcile invoices/statements and ensure purchases comply with policy.
