Job summary

Knight Electric Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Agent to support procurement for electrical construction projects across the United States.

The role focuses on sourcing materials, expediting orders, and managing vendor relationships to keep field crews supplied on schedule. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in purchasing within electrical or construction fields, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency with ERP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing, material ordering or procurement experience in electrical, construction, or industrial industries.
• Proficiency with procurement/ERP software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple purchase orders and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Source and place purchase orders for electrical materials and supplies to meet project schedules and budgets.
• Obtain and analyze competitive quotes for material requisitions.
• Negotiate pricing and coordinate deliveries.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships and track order statuses.
• Reconcile invoices and ensure compliance with company policy.
