Job summary

Tri-City Electrical Contractors Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Material Expediter to maintain a balanced flow of materials, tools, and equipment on electrical projects. You will process requisitions, track orders, coordinate deliveries, and ensure field readiness while minimizing waste.

Strong organizational skills, Excel proficiency, and the ability to read English at a 12th-grade level are required; Florida driver’s license is also needed to meet site requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic mathematical operations to estimate labor and materials.
• Minimum two years as Material Expediter or Electrician for an electrical contractor.
• Basic knowledge of electrical construction materials and commodities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Must possess a valid Florida driver's license in good standing.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English at a 12th-grade level.

Responsibilities

• Create and complete all Pre-Task Plans before starting work activities.
• Analyze and process requisitions using Kojo, Excel, or other platforms for project needs.
• Follow up on orders via phone, email, or vendor communications to confirm lead times.
• Coordinate planning and delivery of materials, tools, and equipment to jobsites by priority.
• Examine received materials, verify part numbers and quantities, identify discrepancies.
• Handle correspondence regarding over-shipments, shortages, freight claims, and RMAs.
• Requisition heavy equipment rentals and maintenance requests with Superintendent approval.
