Job summary

Loenbro is seeking a Purchasing Agent to Source and procure electrical materials and equipment for our project sites. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and maintain cost-effective supply chains while ensuring quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a strong purchasing background in electrical or construction industries, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to work independently within a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; or minimum ten years of purchasing experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent in electrical or construction industries.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency with procurement software and tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Vendor selection and evaluation; negotiate terms and establish supplier relationships.
• Place orders for electrical materials, equipment, and supplies to meet project needs.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and replenish stock to prevent shortages.
• Monitor pricing trends and implement cost-saving strategies.
• Collaborate with quality control to ensure material/spec compliance.
• Maintain detailed procurement records and contracts.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers on requirements.
