Job summary

The position reports to the Director of Procurement and works with project managers, engineers, and the procurement team in a full-time, on-site capacity in Leander, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 10+ years purchasing experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience as Purchasing Agent or similar procurement role in electrical or construction industries.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Vendor selection: identify suppliers, negotiate terms, and build vendor relationships.
• Purchasing: place orders for electrical materials and supplies to meet project needs.
• Inventory management: track stock levels and replenish as needed.
• Cost control: analyze pricing trends and negotiate favorable terms.
• Quality assurance: ensure materials meet standards and specifications.
• Documentation: maintain records of POs, invoices, and contracts.
• Communication: coordinate with project managers, engineers, and teams.
